Job Summary: SUNY Brockport is currently accepting applications for a Coordinator ofCommunity Service and Civic Engagement. The person in this role supports the mission of Community Development to prepare civic minded leaders who possess the knowledge, skills and values to engage fully in their communities. This position is responsible for coordinating Community Service programs that strengthen ties with the surrounding community and promote the Civic Engagement of Brockport faculty, staff and students. This position is responsible for planning and implementing major Community Service initiatives such as Saturday of Service, Alternative Spring Break, Trash to Treasure and Eagle Service Days. The position co-coordinates the Gold Leadership Certificate as part of the Leadership Development Program. The position represents the college within the community by serving on committees and supporting the Rochester Regional Network and Rochester Youth Year. This position collaborates with campus and community partners to develop and maintain detailed information and records regarding the college's Community Service activities. Finally, the Coordinator supports the development, implementation, and assessment of Civic Engagement programs in a collaborative and inclusive environment including, but not limited to, voter registration and engagement workshops, lectures and student leader training. Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree from a college or university accredited by a U.S. Department of Education or internationally recognized accrediting organization
Experience in coordinating Community Service opportunities obtained through professional or volunteer experience.
Effective interpersonal skills to work intentionally and collaboratively with community partners, faculty, staff and students.
Must be detail oriented and possess strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
Experience working with students and colleagues from a variety of backgrounds and experiences including BIPOC students, LGBTQ students, first-generation students, students with disabilities, and other underrepresented groups.
Able and willing to complete the NYS License Event Notification System (LENS) check review process and college's Van Safety-Training Course to operate a college van.

Preferred Qualifications:

Master's degree in Student Affairs, Education, Public Administration or related area.
Experience developing and assessing student learning and programmatic outcomes obtained through coursework or professional experience.
Experience attending, planning or facilitating alternative break trips.
Experience with student leadership development.

Work Schedule: M-F day hours, some nights and weekends Salary and Benefits: The Minimum Salary for this position is $53,151.
