Coordinator, Marketing and Communications
Job Description
The Marketing and Communications Coordinator will organize and manage marketing activities and initiatives for the College. The Coordinator will increase the impact and visibility of the College by coordinating critical interdepartmental processes and managing stakeholder engagement. The Coordinator will assist with the strategy and implementation of the comprehensive marketing plan for GTCC. The Coordinator will serve as a liaison for the Marketing Department across campus and will manage marketing requests and the project pipeline for the department.

• Weekly: contracted vendors - collaboration, updates, assignments
• Bi-weekly: Marketing team meeting - collaboration, updates, assignments
Education Required
• Associates degree from a regionally accredited post-secondary institution
Education Preferred
• Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, media or relevant field from a regionally accredited post-secondary institution
Experience Required
• Minimum of three years applicable experience in marketing, communications, project management, or relevant field or a combination of education and experience.
Experience Preferred
• Basic graphic design, web design, preferred
• Experience with content creation and management a plus
KSA Required
• Ability to work independently
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Excellent time management skills
• Creative and flexible
• Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Strong organizational skills

The following (compliance) training is required and must be completed within the first 30 days of hire with annual refresher training thereafter:

Job Description
The Marketing and Communications Coordinator will organize and manage marketing activities and initiatives for the College. The Coordinator will assist with the strategy and implementation of the comprehensive marketing plan for GTCC. The Coordinator will serve as a liaison for the Marketing Department across campus and will manage marketing requests and the project pipeline for the department.
Duties/Functions
- Serve as a key member of the Marketing and Communications team.
- Ability to work independently to coordinate and manage the creation of printed marketing materials, supporting digital content as needed. Proficient in writing and editing short and long-form content. Attention to detail is critical.
- Create and manage project pipeline for the Marketing and Communications Team
- Suggest strategies and processes for improved results and efficiency
- Liaise with departments across the College
- Solicit quotes from vendors for marketing projects and work with Purchasing for processing and payment. Assist with preparation of bids for larger projects.
- Provide shared event coordination/management with partnering departments for critical events throughout the year.
- Work closely with Director of Marketing and Communications, Digital Marketing Specialist and contracted vendors to ensure all deadlines and goals are being met
- Ensure brand consistency and accuracy in marketing materials, supporting digital content as needed
- Liaise between the Marketing Team and on-staff and freelance graphic designers to provide direction and manage deadlines/expectations.
- Manage College swag including ordering and managing the associated student-worker responsible for coordinating delivery to internal audiences and inventory management.
- Co-manage and work closely with student workers on an as-needed basis on special projects.
- Perform all other duties as assigned by the Director of Marketing and Communications
