Summary
The Academic Success Center (ASC) seeks a qualified candidate for the Coordinator, Business Operations position. Reporting to the ASC Director, the Business Coordinator, Academic Success Center is vital in supporting student and trainee success by serving as the point person for all ASC business functions and activities.
The Academic Success Center (ASC) provides Baylor of College Medicine students and trainees across all schools, programs, and campuses with learner-centered services, resources, and development opportunities to enhance their transferable learning skills and achieve their highest potential at all stages of their learning journey.
Job Duties
- Maintains the online scheduling platform for academic coaching and tutoring appointments.
- Maintains the online records system for ASC services, activities, and events.
- Assists in tracking relevant data regarding academic coaching appointments and workshop attendance.
- Schedules meetings and appointments for the ASC Director and Associate as requested.
- Assists with updating and maintaining websites and other communications tools (e.g., brochures, flyers, etc.).
- Develops marketing material for various ASC-related events and assist with distributing the information to the campus community.
- Coordinates room reservations and other necessary accommodations for on-campus workshops, lectures, and meetings for ASC leadership and staff.
- Oversees the condition of ASC study spaces and the student lounge, in including ensuring the proper function and maintenance of relevant technology within the spaces.
- Assists with the training and oversight of student workers.
- Maintains fiscal oversight of the ASC, including managing and tracking budgets, purchasing, and communicating with the division budget office.
- Maintains the ASC office inventory and coordinate the ordering and the delivery of supplies and materials.
- Assists in developing surveys and other measurement instruments and generating reports and/or data summaries.
Minimum Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED.
- Two years of relevant experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, finance, human sciences/humanities, education, or a related field.
- Three to five years of experience with: Managing budgets and/or finances for a department. Office 365 (e.g., PowerPoint, Teams, Word, SharePoint). Survey Monkey or similar data-gathering programs.
- Professional communication skills.
