Under the direction of the Coordinator Specialty Care (CSC) Team Lead and within federal, state, and local guidelines, provides skills training and psychosocial rehabilitation services, supported employment and education services for the First Episode of Psychosis. This program uses a team-based, person-centered, and recovery-oriented approach to help clients manage not only their psychiatric symptoms but also help them achieve success in other areas of life, such as education and employment. The CSC program serves individuals between the ages of 15-30 who have experienced their first episode of psychosis symptoms starting within the past 2 years. The CSC Team caseload is 20-30 clients who are all cared for by the interdisciplinary team. This involves developing and maintaining long-term contact with clients, client families, and service providers for employment, medical, social, educational, substance abuse, and related service needs. Additionally, individuals who may be most successful in this position may be those who enjoy working out of an office setting, discovering new resources in the community, talking to new people without formal introductions, and learning new techniques. Position will provides services in Paris, Mt Pleasant and Sulphur Springs, Texas.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in a qualified human services field including pyschology, social work, sociology, special education,, early childhood education, counseling, human growth and development, rehabilitation, gerontology, physician assistant, medicine or nursing. Must have a valid Texas driver's license and an acceptable driving record, as well as personal automobile liability insurance as required by the state of Texas. Knowledge of available community resources
Preferred Qualification:
Two years experience required as a AMHP-CS in a community mental health center required. Working knowdledge and/or the ability to learn Electronic Health Records, MBOW, CARE, excel, word, powerpoint, and other computer related programs as required.
