A Brief Overview
Responsible for developing, implementing and maintaining a quality assurance program for the purpose of monitoring the accuracy of patient registration system transactions. Will also assist Patient Access Training Manager with preparation, implementation and evaluation of educational programs for user training in all areas performing patient registrations.
What you will do
- Develops and monitors data quality monitoring tools for Patient Access and other departments performing registration functions.
- Monitors registration function for errors and provides data and statistical reports for monthly quality reporting.
- Provides feedback to individuals and managers regarding competency in Patient Access and registration activities.
- Performs quality and accuracy reviews of staff performance to identify individuals retraining needs.
- Assists Patient Access Training Manager with projects and process improvement initiatives.
- Attends and participates in multi-disciplinary project teams when needed.
- Participates in developing staff education materials aimed at improving the quality of the registration process.
- Analyze and perform root cause analysis on the identified error trends.
- Performs other related duties as required or assigned.
Education Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience Required
Experience Qualifications
- Minimum three years of experience in healthcare related quality assurance. Required
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Through knowledge of compliance requirements, third party payor requirements and audit procedures and processes, quality control, performance improvement, and computer systems required.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Ability to relate operational performance in the healthcare environment.
- Organizational skills (High proficiency)
