Converting Team Leader (Manager)

Job Description
Job Summary:
The Converting Team Leader is responsible for overseeing the entire three shift converting process at one of our Pacific Southwest Container facilities in Modesto (Riverside Drive). This person will ensure the department continues to safely produce a high-quality product in a compliant and efficient manner while upholding the core values of PSC.
Duties/ Responsibilities:

• Ensure that all PSC safety practices and company policies are being followed.
• Lead and develop team members of all levels within the facility.
• Confirm that all equipment is functioning properly and in a way that PSC Team Members can safely and efficiently operate it.
• Coach, mentor, and supervise the facilitators that report to the Team Leader and their crews when applicable.
• Hold Facilitators accountable for their respective shift's safety practices, performance, efficiency, and ability to uphold PSC values in their work as well as in their interactions with Team Members.
• Inspect and ensure product being produced conforms to customers specific requests and requirements when applicable.
• Recommend measures to improve production methods and enact other practices to further improve PSC's lean manufacturing principles.
• Follow through with coaching opportunities and other obligations you have committed to completing.
• Ability to demonstrate good analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Coach and mentor in various ways to positively impact different styles of learners.
• Learn new practices/procedures PSC utilizes.
• Ask questions when unsure on a procedure, policy, function, etc.
• Be a servant-minded style leader by serving our Team Members and providing them with all the tools and coaching they need to safely and efficiently perform their job.

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor's Degree in any field required.
• Five years of applicable management experience required.
• Prior experience in the Corrugated Packaging Industry required.
• Familiarity and experience working with Bobst Asitrades, Flat Bed Die Cutting and Specialty Folder Gluers is a plus.
