Summary
Under Director of Engineering supervision, The Controls Engineer applies best programming practices and processes to accommodate the execution of The Client projects. This role shall include coordinating with a diverse array of project stakeholders, including project managers, mechanical engineers, electrical engineers, technicians, and customers. Documents will be produced at each stage of the project and the Controls Engineer is responsible for ensuring that they conform to The Client's standard requirements.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Duties include, but are not limited to the following:
- Manage and coordinate multiple projects programming tasks to ensure they are completed on time.
- Organize and plan project programming tasks and schedules.
- Manage programming duties in accordance with best practices and standards of the company.
- Complete and maintain the Controls Workbook for projects.
- Develop and design required PLC programming.
- Develop and design required HMI programming.
- Develop and design required Robot programming.
- Assist in collaboration across engineering and operations departments to ensure projects are completed successfully.
- Optimize project deliverables and schedule.
- Work with proposal teams to develop cost estimates for programming duties.
Job Qualifications And Skill Set
- Demonstrable problem-solving positive-minded experience and skills.
- A bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, informational technology, or related fields.
- Knowledge of programming methodologies such as sequential state best practices.
- Strong interpersonal and team leadership skills.
- Strong organizational, time management, and verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools.
- Proficiency in programming software tools, including Allen-Bradley, Siemens, Fanuc, Roboguide (non-negotiable required), and KUKA applications.
- Proficiency in development of vision applications, including Cognex and Keyence.
- Proficiency in programming robotics and servo motion.
- Ability to travel on occasion.
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $80,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
