Duties:
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and equipment in residential, commercial, and industrial settings.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine the layout and installation of electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures.
- Install and connect wires to circuit breakers, transformers, outlets, or other components.
- Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits using testing devices such as ohmmeters, voltmeters, or oscilloscopes.
- Troubleshoot electrical malfunctions and make necessary repairs or replacements.
- Follow all safety protocols and adhere to electrical codes and regulations.
- Collaborate with other tradespeople such as plumbers or HVAC technicians to complete projects.
Requirements:
- Journeyman/Journeywoman Electrician license/certification.
- Proven experience as a Journeyperson Electrician.
- Proficient in reading blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, wiring methods, and materials.
- Familiarity with local electrical codes and regulations.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills to identify and resolve electrical issues.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Good communication skills to interact with clients and other tradespeople.
Note: Experience in maintenance person tasks, renovating, frame carpentry, or working with high voltage is a plus but not required for this specific position.
