Controller

Rehmann is seeking a Controller for our client, Dexter Stamping in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. This Controller role directs the financial activities of the organization to provide the most effective return for the company.

Responsibilities:

1. Provide monthly balance sheet, income statements and prepare financial statements to Finance Manager for review and analysis.
2. Provide Company’s financial institution reports as required.
3. Advise management about insurance coverage for protection against property losses and potential liabilities.
4. Provide reports on cost effective data on dollars within the company. 
5. Generate weekly reports to Finance Manager on goals and activities.
6. Responsible for all tax liabilities of the Company.
7. Participate in the year end audit and physical inventory.
8. Facilitate the maintenance of lowest possible inventory.
9. Prepare reports required by regulatory agencies.
10. Track profit on all production parts.
11. Maintain daily financial responsibilities.
12. Submit financial statements to Finance Manager.
13. Establish, or recommend to management, major economic objectives and policies for company.
14. Prepare reports which summarize and forecast company business activity and financial position in areas of income, expenses, and earnings based on past, present, and expected operations.
15. Recommend best practices for saving on dollars spent on a monthly basis.
16. Provide cost justification for expenditures.
17. Direct determination of depreciation rates to apply to capital assets.
18. Interface with other departments to meet company goals.
19. Consistently adhere to, and support, company policies and procedures, including environmental and quality standards.
20. Commits to the implementation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of Quality and Environmental Management systems.
21. All other duties as assigned.

Education/Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or Finance, Accounting or related field
  •  Masters in Finance or Accounting Preferred
• CPA license preferred but not required
• 5+ years experience in an Accounting Management role

• Advanced knowledge of Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
