This position is open because of an internal promotion!Highlights of the Controller Opportunity:Privately held environmental recovery organization that specializes in health & safety, risk management & recoveryThey have over 900 employees in multiple locations across 30 states plus British ColumbiaReporting to the VP of Finance, the Controller is expected to manage the monthly close, financial statement reporting, and overseeing a large team.Our client offers a competitive compensation and benefits package.The Controller's responsibilities include but are not limited to:Supervise, train and mentor a team of 35 individualsManage the month-end and year-end closePrepare monthly Financial StatementsManage the annual external Financial Statement and benefit plan auditsOversee quarterly and annual Federal & State tax filingsDevelop and implement business process improvement initiatives and strategies.Continually review accounting policies and procedures to ensure that the company is compliant with GAAP and statutory accountingQualifications:CPABachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or equivalent10+ years of progressive accounting experience#CBMAY2023
