Controller

We are a progressive local company seeking a full time Controller to join our team.

Responsibilities

- Manage the month-end and year-end close processes

- Ensure compliance with accounting principles and company policies

- Prepare and analyze financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements

- Develop and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets

- Coordinate and manage annual audit process

- Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate and timely financial information

- Provide financial analysis and recommendations to support strategic decision-making

- Perform account reconciliations and resolve any discrepancies

- Stay up-to-date on technical accounting standards and ensure compliance

Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA designation preferred)

- Minimum of 5 years of experience in corporate accounting or public accounting

- Strong knowledge of financial concepts, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

- Solid understanding of general ledger accounting and account reconciliation
