Overall Activities:As a Hallam-ICS intern, you will work with experienced Control Systems Engineers and assist the team in performing some of the following tasks while gaining exposure to different aspects of the engineering process:
- Create project documents and specifications.
- Develop or modify Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) programs
- Develop or modify a Human Machine Interface (HMI)
- Conduct field surveys of existing facilities for retrofit projects.
- Coordinate with the control panel shop and oversee panel fabrication.
- Perform wiring checks of control panels in our panel shop and/or at customer sites.
- Specify and select control system hardware (programmable controllers), control panel components, network switches, instruments, motor controls, and valves.
Qualifications:
This position is best suited to a student entering their final year of engineering study. Computer and Systems Engineering and Electrical Engineering majors are preferred.
