Job duties
• Write, edit, and debug PLC code written in structured text.
• Analyze historical data to assess machine performance.
• Specify and source sensors, vision, motors, servo drives, industrial PC’s and I/O.
• Size and specify disconnects, fuses, circuit breakers, wires and cables.
• Develop electrical schematics and panel layouts.
• Wire, install and commission control panels and devices including sensors, servos, pneumatics, and hydraulics.
• Collect requirements for operator interaction with machinery.
• Develop web-based HMIs and design operator pendants and consoles.
Required Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, computer science, or similar field.
• 3+ years of experience in electrical design, controls software development, and/or commissioning of industrial automation equipment.
• Proficiency in electrical schematic creation.
• Structured Text/CODESYS.
Highly Desired Experience
• Beckhoff TwinCAT platform, Industrial PCs, I/O slices and Servo Drives (AX5000 / AX8000).
• EPLAN control panel design software.
• Matrox or other industrial vision platform.
• Experience with Python, Typescript (React), or Rust.
• Working knowledge of Git.
• Knowledge of NFPA and UL standards in relation to industrial equipment.
• Familiarity with safety concepts in industrial automation.
• Familiarity with high power electrical systems.
Location: Denver, hybrid, up to 20% travel
