Job Summary:
Animax Designs creates extraordinary three-dimensional characters for the themed entertainment, location-based entertainment, commercial, film, and television industries. We are currently seeking interns for our Summer 2024 Internship program!
The Controls Engineer Intern is a paid internship during Summer 2024. This individual will assist with generating electrical drawings, analyze schematics, produce associated documentation, troubleshoot designs, determine component specifications, and develop programming to operate animated characters.
Essential Job Responsibilities:
- Assist with creative design and mechanical engineering to create complete and effective control solutions
- Assist with the creation of electrical system models
- Contribute to verification, validation, debugging, and testing of control systems
- Read and analyze pneumatic and electrical prints
- Create pneumatic and electrical schematics
- Perform testing and debugging of products using standard lab equipment
- Involved with all internal design reviews
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Must be currently enrolled in college/university or a recent 2023 college graduate
- Must be at least 18 years old and able to work in the USA legally
- Strong computer skills including knowledge and use of all Microsoft Office programs
- Ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally
- Ability to work within a team environment
- Knowledge of PLCs
- Basic knowledge of Servo drives
- Basic understanding of PID and loop control
- Familiarity with AutoCAD
