JOB SUMMARY:
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Paralegal Certificate helpful.
- 5+ years of contracting experience required, past work in life sciences/pharmaceutical industry preferred.
- Excellent professionalism, outstanding business judgment and interpersonal skills required.
- Strong written and verbal communication and analytical skills.
- Competency in and a comfort level with contract management systems, experience with Conga or similar software is preferred.
- Highly proficient in Microsoft office suite, including high level of Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Adobe Acrobat knowledge.
- At the direction of the Chief Legal Officer and Assistant General Counsels, serve as primary support for WCG’s Legal Department contracting group. Drive successful negotiation of commercial contracts through application of legal knowledge and business acumen.
- Provide expert level support of WCG’s contracts repository and contract lifecycle management software, Conga.
- Provide expertise and leadership in drafting, reviewing and negotiation of statements of work/work orders, change orders, amendments, service agreements, master service agreements, and various legal agreements with vendors and clients. Review of client and/or vendor requested edits to prepared documents; promptly advise team lead of necessary changes and/or issues.
- Develop negotiating position and timeline, engage with customers and suppliers, and provide management with updates on contract status. Work with relevant functions and internal stakeholders across multiple business units to draft, review, negotiate and manage execution of various client and vendor agreements.
- Liaise with business leaders on opportunities for contracting process improvements and the integration of companies acquired by WCG.
- Other duties in support of legal department activities as assigned by supervisor. These may, on occasion, be unrelated to the position described here.
