The Manager, Contracts & Pricing is responsible for sales pricing and contracts teams. Performs tasks that enhance sales productivity and opportunity, accounts payable functionality, and customer satisfaction.
  • Leads and oversees the Sr. Analysts and Analysts in the handling of customer accounts under the umbrella of products, pricing and terms & conditions
  • Reviews pricing request recommendations and contractual documents prior to escalation/PC approval to ensure accuracy and accordance with policies, legal requirements and customer specifications.
  • Works closely with Director, Contracts & Pricing on the strategic thought process around pricing (gross margin) for Generic & Sterile books of business and articulate rationale for strategic decisions around price
  • Handles top customer accounts for all pricing, bid and agreement requests. Sending offer letters, submitting bid submissions and final execution of agreements.
  • Manages and assists the Analysts and Administrators with contract Setup, price & rebate loading and execution in Model N systems. Pricing, rebates, and all benefits
  • Reviews and approves contract setup in Model N contract management system to include accurate effective dates, eligible products, pricing and rebate calculations.
  • Oversees the Analysts during the new product launch process, delegating accounts, responsibilities and peer review process to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
  • Reviews post-solicitation processes compiled by Analysts, including Gains & Losses and Financial Analysis files.
  • Maintains the P&L file, the main working-file used for pricing requests, with updated Products, COGS, Medicaid Rates, Profit Splits, MFN information, Product Identifiers, WAC/AWP, to ensure accurate product pricing and Gross Margin projections for pricing decisions.
  • Compiles monthly Most-Favored-Nation (MFN) analysis utilizing consortium average sales volume data to aid in all pricing decisions and determine MFN compliance.
  • Leverages relationships with National Account Representatives to ensure effective and efficient handling and communication with customers regarding pricing and contract solicitations.
  • Facilitates communication with Product Supply Team and Marketing in all stages of request and product life cycle to ensure accurate and efficient product supply and forecasting.
  • Provides direction on rebates setup up and implementation of all rebates & admin fees.
  • Sign off monthly/quarterly on all rebates loaded in Model N.
  • Assist rebates with agreement interpretation of business decisions and program set up for rebates, admin fees, service fees, RDC/NLC fees, tradeshow promotions, etc.
  • Develop standard report formats for contract and rebates review.
  • Perform preliminary review and approval of rebates in Model N.
  • Assist Finance in final rebate review of all rebates and benefits in Model N.
  • Developed logs for Finance rebate accruals and ssa log.
  • Supervise and manage career development of staff.
  • Manage the C&P team to ensure an aligned approach to pricing, pricing changes and the resultant financial impact (P&Ls)
  • Delegating work duties to individual staff members.
  • Assigning tasks to staff & clearly explaining how those duties are to be done.
  • Setting goals and objectives for individuals and teams.
  • Identifying and evaluating employee training requirements.
  • Conducting performance appraisals that define strengths, weaknesses, and career development needs.
  • Familiarity with financial analysis and sales and marketing
