Contract Construction Safety | New Jersey | Pennsylvania
Compliance Management International seeks experienced Independent Contractors | Construction Safety Professionals to work on a contract basis overseeing a variety of construction projects working with Owners, GC's or Subs. Our ideal candidates are highly experience in Health and Safety and can work under minimal supervision. Responsibilities will varies based on project:
- Develop and implement safety programs
- Issue and supervise hazardous work permits
- Conduct Pre-Task Planning, including JSAs, Safety Plans of Action (SPAs), Crane Lift Plans, etc.
- Perform site safety audits and inspections
- Provide oversight for high-risk work, such as hot work, elevated work, hazardous energy control/LOTO, line break, core drilling, trenching/excavation, confined space entry, and crane lifts
- Mentor coach and educate on safety work place practice
- New hire orientations, and site-specific training
Requirements:
- 5-10 years of construction health and safety experience
- Degree in EHS field and minimum CHST strongly desired, but not required
- Minimum OSHA 30 Construction (within last 5 years)
- BCSP credentials strongly preferred
- Diverse construction project experience
- Subcontractor management experience.
- Candidate must be able to effectively work with project team, subcontractor, and end-user.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaborate with all teams on the site.
- Strong communication and organizational skills for customer-facing position
- Position is roughly 70% field and 30% administrative responsibility
- Must reside in a reasonable driving distance from our projects in Northern NJ, Queens, NY or the Philadelphia, PA region.
