Job Description
The Contractor Sales Representative has an exciting new opportunity to build a successful sales career! This role is perfect for a new grad or Junior Salesperson. Our senior sales staff is ready to commit to training this Contractor Sales Representative to ensure that they are ready to take on the Territory Sales position within two years. If you are a new grad or Junior Salesperson and you have great communication and organization skills, along with stellar closing skills, this might be the position for you!
This role is responsible for the daily support of the sales throughout their respective region. Achieve sales and market share growth by generating pull-through demand with contractors, builders, and architects.

Location:
Midland, Lubbock, or Amarillo, Texas.
WHEN YOU JOIN US YOU WILL;
  • Developing relationships and growing sales with assigned distribution customers in the territory
  • Contacting roofing contractors, remodelers, builders, and architects to drive demand frequently
  • Presenting products and programs to qualified distributors and end users every week
  • Performing product knowledge (PK) training sessions with customers
  • Managing territory pricing based on competitive situations
  • Following up on inquiries from customers or IKO administration in a timely fashion
  • Managing customer accounts receivable balance and deductions
  • Investigating and processing product quality complaints in the territory
  • Organizing and executing a business plan to meet territory sales goals and customer needs
  • Communicating market and competitive information as well as requests for pricing or payment exceptions timely and effectively

OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE:
  • Associate's Degree required; Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • Driver's License in good standing is required.
  • 3 years of prior sales experience in the building products industry preferred
  • Prior sales experience calling on roofing contractors, builders, and/or architects preferred
  • Prior professional sales training preferred
  • Demonstrated attention to detail and professional attitude.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in the use of computer programs such as Microsoft Office products
  • Demonstrated excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills
  • Detail-oriented with a personal commitment to task completion
  • Proactive, detail-focused, and deadline oriented

WORK AUTHORIZATIONS AND TRAVEL:
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States of America.
  • Up to 80% travel may be required .
