The Contracting Coordinator will play a crucial role in facilitating effective communication and coordination between our organization and various payers, ensuring the timely submission and processing of contracts and amendments, and maintaining compliance with payer requirements. This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Submit new contracts and amendments to update necessary software
- Monitor payer websites and communication channels for updates to processes, plans, and requirements, and ensure dissemination of pertinent information to relevant teams.
- Coordinate with the Contracting and Credentialing teams to communicate new centers and relocations that require updates in payer systems.
- Notify relevant teams upon successful addition of centers/providers to payer systems.
- Facilitate site updates and additions to payors, including coordinating applications, document submissions, monitoring application status on various portals, and obtaining approval letters.
- Coordinate enrollment with other Medicaid plans as necessary, collaborating with internal teams to process and update.
- Handle fee schedule inquiries and assist in adding and submitting new centers to carriers, ensuring accurate tracking and confirmation of approvals.
- Review policy manuals, state guidelines, rules, and regulations to identify and address payer requirements, and monitor carrier updates accordingly.
- Collect, obtain, and ensure completion of required documents from relevant parties.
- Maintain and manage the internal contract database, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records.
- Manage contracts with school districts, including Individual Service Agreements (ISAs) and NPA certifications, ensuring compliance and timely execution.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, healthcare administration, or a related field preferred.
- 2+ years of experience in healthcare contracting or related field.
- Strong understanding of payer contracting processes and requirements, particularly Medicaid.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and contract management software (e.g., Central Reach).
- Familiarity with Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) services preferred but not required.
