Job Summary
Perform complex solicitation, evaluation, and contract management work. Work involves developing and evaluating a broad range of contracts. Works under general supervision, with moderate latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop and prepare solicitations, contracts and amendments by identifying provider resources, describing services to be rendered, evaluating information supplied by bidders, and negotiating contract specifications.
- Coordinates and facilitates procurement related meetings such as pre-proposal meetings, post award conferences, team briefings and evaluation scoring.
- Assists with negotiating contract renewals and amendments.
- Assists in conducting needs assessments to determine requirements for the purchase of goods or services.
- May monitor legal and regulatory requirements pertaining to contracting.
- May recommend and facilitate the cancellation of contracts.
- Performs related work as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree with major course work in business administration, supply chain management or related field or equivalent work experience.
- Certification from a professional purchasing organization. If not certified, must be certified within 18 months of employment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in preparation, administration and management of solicitations (Requests For Proposals), evaluations and contracts.
