  • $54,000.00 Annual Salary
  • Exempt position (not eligible for overtime under state law)

THE LOCATION

Glenwood Springs houses the largest mineral pool in the world, it is also one of the hottest in Colorado. Despite its mountain location, Glenwood Springs is one of the most walkable towns in America. You can walk from Glenwood Springs to Aspen along the Rio Grande Trail, although it may take you a few days as it is 42 miles one way.

THE POSITION

The purpose of the Healthcare Security Contract Manager position is to execute security and safety objectives on a fixed contract as outlined by the Company's policy and procedures. Change is an ongoing occurrence of this job and will be approached conservatively and with the support and guidance of management.

This position requires the individual to:

  • Lead a team of security officers to provide security presence at each site/location and accomplish desired tasks set forth by the client.
  • Connect with people quickly in an outgoing, friendly manner.
  • Use persuasive communication skills to gain the interest and involvement of others in the work process is an important aspect of the job.
  • Have an extreme sense of urgency combined with getting work done in complete, accurate detail and in accordance with company standards and policies.
  • Be motivated by having a strong sense of duty and a feeling of responsibility for completing work both quickly and correctly.
  • Have a faster than average work pace is necessary combined with impatience for results. Follow-up of delegated work must be very thorough. Decision making will be done with the ideas and advice of others, but always carefully and cautiously within the guidelines of established company policy.
  • Sell ideas to others and the ability to train, teach and motivate a team are strong aspects of this position.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage and supervise the day-to-day security departments of multiple locations to ensure the safety and security of all guests, personnel and property.
  • Understand the logistics for each site, implement all policies and procedures and make an emergency response plan, and anticipate the client’s needs.
  • Finalize incident reports, performance appraisals, as well as coaching and disciplinary forms for employees.
  • Design and implement preventive safety and security programs.
  • Schedule, direct and train security officers in all aspects of security policies and procedures.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to internal and external clients at all times.
  • Make quick decisions and respond confidently in emergency situations.
  • Use technology resources provided by the Company to effectively manage staff, work sites, and business communication.
  • Promote the Company's other products & services in a clear, effective manner when appropriate.
  • Be flexible in working hours and locations within site areas.
  • Establish schedule, clock in and out procedures and submit payroll in the appropriate time frame as provided by the payroll department.
  • Execute all tasks of a security officer.
  • Perform additional tasks, related duties, projects, and special assignments as assigned by the reporting manager or client.
Qualification Requirements
  • Provide credible references and I-9 Employment Eligibility Documentation (legal eligibility to work in the U.S.).
  • Must have previous security management or general management experience.
  • Must have a high school diploma / GED.
  • Ability to perform job tasks in an extremely professional manner in a customer service driven industry.
  • Reading, writing and oral proficiency in the English language.
  • Ability to pass a drug screen and a background check.
  • Ability to stand and walk for several hours per shift.
  • Reliable transportation and proximity to site(s).
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Positive attitude.
  • Punctuality, never late.
  • Must own a smartphone for scheduling and clocking in / out.
  • Experience in CPR, first aid, firefighting and crowd control is preferred, but not required.
  • Previous security or law enforcement experience preferred, but not required.
