Job Details:

• Contract Speech Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) for School Districts in FL
• 2023 2024 School Year
• Full Time Position, Regular School Hours (Mon-Fri)
• Start Date: ASAP

Experience/Requirements:

• School Based Experience is Preferred - Not Required
• Experience in a Pediatric Setting is Preferred Not Required
• Licensure from the Florida Board of Speech-Language Pathology & Audiology, Florida Department of Health

Caseload/Responsibilities:

• Caseload: Grades K-12
• Effectively communicate with families regarding student needs.
• Serves as translator/interpreter for the supervising SLP during clinical procedures, as needed.
• Engage in services under the direction of the supervising SLP, including:
  • Records data relative to student performance
  • Conducts and score speech, language and hearing screening
  • Implements student treatment programs designed by the supervising SLP
  • Performs clerical functions necessary to maintain student performing data
  • Reports changes in student performance to supervising SLP
  • Prepares clinical materials and maintains equipment
  • Assist in the evaluation or treatment of difficult-to-test students
