- Assist SLP in screening processes.
- Implement treatment plan, as developed by the SLP.
- Record behaviors during treatment using descriptive (not evaluative) terms.
- Participation in MDT/IEP meetings as appropriate.
- Preparation of clinical materials, treatment rooms, and schedules as directed.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Ability to relate to special needs students.
- Proficient verbal and written communication skills.
- Work Skills Assessments: Achieve minimum acceptable levels/scores in reading, writing, math, and technology assessments.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: Associate Degree
Experience: Work experience in Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology or related field. Experience in a school setting preferred.
Substitutions: Any combination of experience and/or training which provides the applicant with requisite knowledge, skills and ability to perform the work and that meets applicable federal and state requirements.
REQUIRED LICENSES/SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
May be required to have a valid State of Washington Driver's License.
Valid SLPA Licensure from the State of Washington Department of Health
CONDITION OF EMPLOYMENT:
Criminal background clearance
Completion of required Vector Solutions (SafeSchools) Trainings
REPORTING RELATIONSHIP:
Performance is evaluated by the Executive Director for Special Services and Intervention with input from school principal(s) and/or Speech Language Pathologist.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Job duties involve sitting, standing, bending, stooping, and walking. Work is performed in a generally clean and healthy environment.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
Work Year 180 days per year (plus paid holidays that fall within the school calendar)
Hours 7.0 hours paid per day plus half-hour unpaid duty free lunch
Salary 2022-23 PSE Salary Schedule A - SLPA ($27.47 - $29.43 DOE)

Eligibility for benefits is determined by the number of hours an employee is anticipated to work during the school year (September 1 through August 31). Employees anticipated to work 630 hours or more in a year are eligible for the following benefits: medical, dental, vision, retirement, life insurance, long-term disability and the employee assistance program.

This benefit is available, based on the outcome of annual voting of employees by group.
