Job Description
As the Continuous Improvement Manager at our Carson City location, you will play a pivotal role in leading our Continuous Improvement initiatives. This position is the linchpin for driving a culture of operational excellence, fostering innovation, and achieving our performance objectives. We are seeking an individual who possesses exceptional leadership skills, profound technical knowledge, and a passion for driving change to join our leadership team.
This role is not available for new/future sponsorship or transfer of nonimmigrant work visas.
Work location: On site, Carson City, NV
Travel: Occasional (<25%)
Key Responsibilities:
  • Leadership Excellence: Lead, inspire, and guide our team to embrace a culture of Continuous Improvement. Ensure that accountability for CI is held at all levels of the organization and that standards are consistently followed.
  • Technical Proficiency: Utilize your deep technical expertise to provide support and coaching in LEAN processes. Identify and eliminate process waste while driving a cultural shift towards sustainable results.
  • Strategic Alignment: Collaborate with regional CI leadership to implement the Chromalloy Continuous Improvement System. Identify and align CI priorities, goals, and objectives to achieve business needs.
  • Project Management: Coordinate, lead, and execute improvement projects and initiatives to meet performance and efficiency targets. Monitor project progress and regularly assess results.
  • Talent Development: Manage CI development resources, providing training, coaching, and mentoring to build capability throughout the organization. Identify individuals for further CI training and opportunities.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in a Continuous Improvement related discipline (e.g. engineering, operations management, business etc)
  • 5+ years of experience leading manufacturing or business organizations in the deployment of Continuous Improvement
  • Six Sigma Green Belt certification is required. Black Belt is preferred.
  • Experience in successful deployment of Lean and Six Sigma systems, including: Value Stream Mapping, Kaizen Facilitation, Cellular Flow, Single-Minute Exchange of Dies, Process Flow Mapping, Kanban, Hoshin, Visual Controls, 6S, etc.
  • A track record of Continuous Improvement efforts with proven successful sustained outcomes.
