The Continuous Improvement Engineer is responsible for identification, analyzation, and implementation of process enhancements within our distribution network. This role will collaborate with cross functional teams to drive Continuous Improvement initiatives, remove all forms of waste, optimize workflows, and streamline operations which will contribute to increased efficiency, cost effectiveness, and customer satisfaction. RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Conducts analyses of distribution processes to identify inefficiencies and areas for improvement.
- Develops and implements strategies to optimize workflows, reduce lead times, and enhance distribution efficiency.
- Utilizes data analytics tools and statistical methods to gather and analyze relevant data to provide insights to support Continuous Improvement initiatives.
- Establishes key performance indicators (KPIs) and monitors performance metrics to drive data-driven decision-making.
- Applies Lean principles and methodologies to identify and eliminate waste, reduce variability, and improve process stability.
- Facilitates workshops and meetings to gather input, share findings, and gain buy-in for proposed changes.
- Leads and supports Lean projects to ensure successful implementation of improvement initiatives
- Develops and delivers training programs to distribution center staff on updated processes, new technologies, and Lean principles to drive Continuous Improvement.
- Works closely with IT teams to assess, select, and implement relevant technologies.
- Identifies opportunities for technology integration to enhance distribution processes such as the implementation of automation, robotics, and warehouse management systems.
- Collaborates with cross-functional teams including Operations, Logistics, Supply Chain, and Quality to understand current processes and drive improvements.
- Other duties and projects as assigned.
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and written.
- Proficiency in using JDA Labor Management software for labor forecasting, scheduling, and performance management.
- Strong knowledge in conducting time studies, process analysis, and workflow optimization.
- Knowledge of Lean principles and experience implementing Lean projects.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, required.
- Master's degree is a plus.
- Lean training and/or certification required.
- Experience and knowledge of Six Sigma is a plus.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI, Access).
- Ability to travel 50%-75% required with periodic, multi-state travel which may include transport by airplane, rail, rental, or personal motor vehicle.
- Ability to manage multiple projects or tasks simultaneously.

Pay: $80,782.63 - $99,329.63 per year
