Job Summary
Helps to drive "outside the box" thinking and can identify wasteful actions. Is able to use data and gather information to organize kaizen to increase value. Develops, suggests, and implements changes and standards that promote safety, quality and efficiency.
Job Duties
- Evaluate internal processes and identify opportunities for improvements using time study, value added analysis, spaghetti diagrams, Yamazumi and other data collection techniques.
- Establish key performance indicators for functions being reviewed, evaluate current state and propose possible future state and objectives using data to communicate opportunities.
- Oversee and be involved with the implementation of changes. Track progress towards efficiency or quality goals. Ability to quickly identify hurdles and propose solutions.
- Complete all necessary documents fully and accurately
- Adhere to 5S standards (e.g., maintain cleanliness of work area, etc.) suggest modifications to standards to increase visual factory and/or flexibility.
- Follow all Safety, Environmental and Quality policies and procedures
- Perform other duties as assigned
Experience and Education
- Perform work with sense of urgency maintaining a high level of quality.
- Handle complex issues
- Possess expert knowledge of subject matter
- Provide leadership, coaching and/or mentoring to subordinate group
- Experience with JDE software.
- Typically require a bachelor's degree and 10 or more years of experience
- Experience using the Toyota Production System
