Summary
Reporting directly to the Sr. Director of Continuous Improvement, the Data Analytics and Visualization Lead will be responsible for the development of Power Apps to be able to collect needed data, create Power BI Dashboards to display performance metrics in a standardized approach. The tools developed will enable the Continuous Improvement and Business teams with the data needed to make data driven decisions to drive business results. This position is responsible for supporting the Supply Chain Data and Analytics strategy that directs how the business is managed (identifying and tracking KPI’s), equips the CI team with data needed to ensure project effectiveness and serves as the Power App and Power BI supply chain subject matter expert. In addition, this role will help the facilitation of executive meetings where performance visualization and standardization are needed.
This position is remote but requires travel to facilities and HQ as requested.
Principal and Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Develop, lead and govern Data Analytics and Visualization for Supply Chain and CI teams to support existing projects and business and performance management
- Responsible for developing, interpreting and maintaining Supply Chain Performance dashboards, metrics and Tier meeting supporting materials
- Develop and implement analytic and visualization strategy to support Supply Chain & CI
- Lead the development of quarterly reporting package, that outlines performance of each business and project relative to targets, highlighting risks
- Communicate on a regular basis to executive level audiences to help interpret data
- Support teams by providing data analysis through Power Apps/BI development and provide hypothesis generation and recommendation development
- Translation of complex data and content is needed in an accurate, digestible form
- Significant participation with supporting and participating in performance reporting to executive level audiences.
- Support building data analyzation capability of CI teams and business partners
- Drive, coach, and mentor business leads on the generation of actionable insights through providing recommendations on transforming data into actionable next steps.
- Promotes the transformation from a reactive organizational culture to one that is more preventative and predictable, utilizing data driven decision-making, sustainable actions, and the Continuous Improvement tools.
Minimum Education and Experience
BS degree in Operations Management, Business Management, Engineering or related, and 7-10 years or more leading Continuous Improvement, Data Analytics & Visualization or business transformations. Equivalent related work experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
The Ideal Candidate Must Have:
- Experience with Power Apps and Power BI.
- Experience analyzing and visualizing data to make digestible for all levels.
- A solid operational or Continuous Improvement background. Prior exposure to Continuous Improvement or Operational Excellence tools.
- Core competencies to include Power Apps, Power BI, MiniTab, Excel, Lean and Six Sigma methodology, Microsoft Office. Should not only demonstrate the ability to “do” but also “teach” in the various techniques.
- Experience participating in Business Performance meetings (MOS, DMS, Tier Meetings, etc.).
- Proven experience in a willingness to promote and drive change; able to communicate and work with teams at all organizational levels from senior management to shop floor; strong communication, organization and presentation skills.
- Ability to learn new concepts, combined with common sense and effectively apply to problem solving. A combination of business, interpersonal, technical and analytical skills while being motivated by challenge.
- Works well in a team environment, with enhanced ability to leverage influential leadership skills.
- Comfortability presenting and communicate with all levels (shop floor associates à executive level).
- Ability to travel to support Deployment and capability building efforts. Estimated travel of 50%.
Environmental Factors and Physical Requirements
May need to move light equipment or supplies from one place to another.
May need to access files, supplies and equipment.
Work activity can be in plant environments.
When in a plant environment:
Exposure primarily consists of wet and moist floors which include metal and plastic grating surfaces.
May be exposed to temperatures of 28 degrees to 100 degrees Fahrenheit with both ambient and 100% humidity.
- May handle product 25 degrees to 50 degrees Fahrenheit.
- May be exposed to noise ranges of 50 db to 110 db.
- May be exposed to all chemicals found in poultry, food and processing plant.
- Must wear and use protective and safety equipment required for the job as directed by the Company
