The successful candidate is able to identify, articulate, and capably respond to nuances in request for proposal (RFP) questions, solicit input on strategic questions from various internal and external departments including the sales team. The Marketing Associate has responsibility for all aspects of writing for corporate communications. First and foremost, this includes managing complete, accurate, and timely responses to requests from prospective clients and existing customers. The Associate collaborates closely with members of sales, finance, legal, operations, supply, and the marketing team on a day-to-day basis to oversee preparation of RFP responses. This individual plays a critical role in retaining and winning new business at Tyndale. In addition, the Marketing Associate works closely with the pricing and content groups within the marketing department.

PARTIALLY REMOTE: Tyndale supports a strong work-life balance. This opportunity is a work from home role on a regularly-scheduled basis requiring 1 day each week onsite, and 4 days working remotely. The ideal person must reside within a commutable distance from our Headquarters in Pipersville, Bucks County, PA or our North Houston, TX location.

Responsibilities

Ensures high quality, accurate and timely responses to RFPs, requests for information (RFI), and requests for quote (RFQ) from customers and prospects. Proposals are submitted to Fortune 1000 companies, state, and local governments.

  • Excellent writing and editing skills, strong attention to detail and organizational skills are necessary for the management of multiple documents, projects, and the coordination and assembly of response documentation.
  • Collaborates closely with the online and events marketing team to provide clear and concise content as-needed for various websites, online advertising, email campaigns, and other incidental areas.
  • Ensures a steady stream of relevant and timely content is available for publication on Tyndale’s blog, email marketing, on internal communication platforms, in .ppt slides and creation of stock and ad-hoc emails. Manages blog and email content creation and calendar, coordinating video content with online team as needed.
  • Responds to sales team requests for proposals, customized content, and ad-hoc requests – frequently requiring quick turnaround.
  • Supports web content development for all Tyndale sites: TyndaleUSA.com, TyndaleFRC.TyndaleUSA.com, Express.TyndaleUSA.com, Shop.TyndaleUSA.com.
  • Constantly seeking opportunities to improve and innovate.
  • Collaborates effectively with all levels of management, both internally and externally .
  • Ensures that brand positioning and messaging is consistent across channels.
  • Assists with contract review and works closely with an outside legal firm and internal departments to finalize contracts to share with customers.

The Marketing Associate will have the opportunity to help hone Tyndale’s online marketing strategy, which will include some elements of the following:

  • Email Marketing Campaigns. Creating and implementing campaign strategies, and newsletters that are consistent with Tyndale’s drive to expand brand awareness and increase sales.
  • Blog Posts. Creating and editing blog posts on product, service, and technical topics in support of our customers.
  • Ad-hoc Customer emails. Supporting the sales team through creation and distribution of company-specific emails designed to drive engagement.
  • PPC Ads. Creating concise, relevant, and engaging content for pay-per-click ads.
  • General Web Content. Creating creative, concise, and engaging content for various website platforms with a focus on search engine optimization (SEO).

Qualifications

  • Stellar writing skills are a key requirement of this position. Accurate grammar and spelling are particularly important
  • Strong attention to detail is a necessary skill to be successful in this role
  • BA/BS degree in marketing, communications, or other business-related field
  • 1-2 years of experience in general corporate marketing. Agency experience considered.
  • B-to-B or B-to-C experience, and retail marketing experience preferred
  • Data analysis and reporting experience
  • Ability to handle multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel
  • Well organized with ability to multi-task and think outside of the box
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively as part of a fast-paced team
  • Ability to prioritize projects, work effectively within short time frames, and never miss a deadline
  • Self-starter and detailed oriented; ability to work independently
