Content Producer & Editor

THE ROLE

Reporting to the Chief Marketing Officer, the Content Producer & Editor will be someone with expertise in both audio and video production and editing. The ideal candidate will have had experience working in podcast and/or digital production roles. This role is set to play a pivotal role in elevating our company brand by producing cutting-edge digital content and the launch of a new podcast sub-brand. We are looking for someone who is both creative and technical, and can own the creation of all audio/video content projects and podcast episodes. This individual will be responsible for overseeing the entire production process of digital content projects from planning and shooting to editing, adding transitions and final delivery/distribution. The goal in this role is the creation of captivating content consisting of podcast episodes, social media clips for promotion, and other audio/video projects as they are dreamt up!

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Audio/Video Production:
  • Take ownership of audio and video shoots for podcast episodes and company video features. This includes managing content calendars and scheduling.
  • Ensure high-quality production standards are maintained throughout the process.
  • Collaborate with the CEO & Marketing Team to conceptualize and execute engaging content.
• Editing:
  • Edit audio and video content with precision and creativity.
  • Develop and refine the podcast's intro/outro song, ensuring it aligns with the brand identity.
  • Implement seamless transitions and enhance overall production quality.
• Content Calendar & Podcast Launch:
  • Collaborate with the Marketing Team to create and manage a content calendar of assets to be produced for website, social channels, press etc.
  • Plan and anticipate the needs to launch a new podcast.
  • Coordinate with various teams to ensure a smooth and successful podcast launch.
• Graphics, Animation & Photo Capabilities:
  • Ability to do small animations, logos, and be familiar with Photoshop and other Adobe software.
  • This person should be able to create social media photos/videos/audio clips and therefore having strong graphic design ability is important.
  • Bring creativity to life through animations to complement video content.
  • Ability to capture on-brand photo assets in high quality

QUALIFICATIONS

• Proven experience as a Content Producer & Editor, with a focus on both audio and video production.
• Passion for storytelling and creating interesting content that resonates with diverse audiences.
• Demonstrated ability in developing engaging podcast intros and implementing creative transitions.
• Animation skills are preferred and experience in incorporating animations into video content.
• Ability to anticipate and address challenges in the video/audio production process and mitigate risk.

• Excellent visual, communication, and presentation skills to pitch production concepts before a project kicks off.
• Demonstrated experience creating quality work in a fast-paced environment.
• Track record of delivering highly engaging audio/visual experiences by a deadline.
• Excellent organizational and project management skills.
• Self-motivated in guiding work from inception to completion.
