The NBCU Academy MultiPlatform Content Producer program is 24 month a high intensity producing training program designed for recent college students with a high interest and proven fast record of broadcast journalism content creation.  Participants will learn television broadcast producing from some of the industry's best, experiencing the ultimate thrill of producing live broadcasts. Participants in the program will work in a fast-paced newsroom within an NBCUniversal Local Station. The right candidate will learn the basics of each newsroom position and be assigned 3 mentors.

The ideal candidate is tech-savvy. Will learn and help curate and produce video content and livestreams for Multiplatform audiences. This candidate should exhibit solid news judgement, strong writing and communication skills in Spanish and English. The Multiplatform Content Producer Associate should have knowledge of digital video production, including scripting, shooting, and editing digital video pieces, understand social media, and video distribution platforms VOD and AVOD (FAST). Will work with senior leadership on the news and multiplatform teams to identify best practices and workflows. The ideal candidate should be passionate about finding and telling the right stories in new and engaging ways.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Following Telemundo Houston's multiplatform content strategy that aligns with the organization's goals and target audience, ensuring consistency and engagement across different channels.
• Create, curate, and optimize content specifically tailored for FAST Channels, OTT, and digital considering audience preferences and platform-specific requirements.
• Produce a variety of multimedia content, including videos, articles, infographics, and podcasts, for the organization's website and digital platforms.
• The Associate Content Producer surfaces the best content for broadcast and digital by maintaining regular communication with newsgathering and management team. 
• Create cross-promotion between various digital platforms, leveraging content synergies to increase audience reach and engagement.
• Create platform specific thumbnails using Getty Images and Adobe Photoshop
• Produce and monitor live-streamed events and programming for all Telemundo Houston platforms.
• Adaptable to changing needs during the daily news operation.

Eligibility Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree with emphasis on Communications, Journalism, Digital production, or a related field.
• Speaking and writing skills in Spanish/English
• Basic knowledge of camera operation/editing skills
• Must be willing to work in Houston, TX
• Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States
• Must have a valid Driver's License
• Must be able to lift, carry and transport production equipment on a regular basis.
• Ability and willingness to work non-traditional hours.
