Content Marketing Specialist
Type: 1099 contract, part-time, 100% remote
Hourly rate: $25-$35/hr
Hours: 20-30/week
Start date: ASAP
Reports to: Marketing & Design Manager

Position Overview/Mission:
We are looking for an experienced and motivated Content Marketing Specialist to join our team and provide support to the organization and its clients. The Content Marketing Specialist will not only create content strategies but will also demonstrate best practices for fostering and managing social media engagement, plan and execute creative communications based on marketing goals, and be willing and able to jump into other marketing related tasks that are either analytical or creative.
Responsibilities
Graphic Design:
- Create static and video assets for digital mediums including social media, websites, presentations, and advertisements.
- Create marketing collateral for print including flyers, posters, banners, advertisements, direct mail, events, and signage.
- Create designs for company merch and products like apparel and promotional materials.
- Source on-brand imagery and develop the front-end of client websites.
Copywriting:
- Complete independent research if needed to understand and write about client industries, services, and practices.
- Write on-brand content for email campaigns, client websites, social media captions, marketing collateral, and blogs.
- Leverage AI as a tool while writing organic content.
- Provide copy that is accurate and without errors.
Evaluation and Reporting:
- Self-review all assigned work before submitting deliverables, ensuring project scope is complete.
- Take constructive feedback when given and ensure any work revisions are completed as instructed.
- Help the marketing team grow results by evaluating and reporting on analytics for projects and systems.
Collaborating:
- Work alongside marketing team members, bringing fresh ideas and creative thinking to our marketing processes.
- Support the marketing team with both analytical and creative projects.
- Bring a positive, proactive, and hard-working state-of-mind into our team and projects.
- Work independently by interpreting creative briefs or task instructions in our task management software, Basecamp.
Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in the graphic arts or a related field.
- 3 years of relevant experience required.
- Proven experience in digital marketing, including social media management, content creation, and analytics.
- Proficiency in graphic design software (e.g., Adobe Illustrator, AfterEffects, Canva, Figma-preferred not required).
- Strong organizational and project management skills.
- Client-based experience
- Excellent visual, written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Creativity and a passion for marketing and design.
- Knowledge of current industry trends and best practices in marketing and graphic design.
- Ability to follow instructions, work well within a team, and contribute to collaborative efforts.
- CRM proficiency: PipeDrive & Hubspot currently utilized.
