What You’ll Do
- Build and maintain relationships with members by providing superior customer service.
- Onboard new members; introduce new members with information about the credit union and its services and benefits it has to offer.
- Assist new members with online services such as online banking log-in credentials.
- Review and respond to members’ questions or concerns through all forms of communication via texting, chatbot, phone, and internet/email, in a timely and professional manner.
- Cross-sell credit union services; stay informed and current on services/promotions and communicate to members.
- Close and open accounts for current members.
- Handle various member transactions such as deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, and mail transactions.
- Cross training in various departments to better handle and assist inbound and outbound calls.
What You’ll Need
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 1-2 years’ experience in a financial institution or retail background with cash handling, sales, and customer service experience
- Previous knowledge of banking and financial systems is a plus
- Practical knowledge of office equipment, such as PC, adding machine, copier and fax machine
- The ability to handle stress and respond to members’ questions in a professional manner
- Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand and sit for long periods; walk frequently; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
