TELEWORK IS CURRENTLY AVAILABLE, HOWEVER, STAFF MAY BE REQUIRED TO REPORT TO THEIR ASSIGNED HEADQUARTERS AS BUSINESS NEEDS ARISE.
Under the direction of the IT Supervisor II, the incumbent is responsible for leading Quality Assurance efforts in the development and enhancement of the Employment Development Department (EDD) Contact Center platform(s). The incumbent is responsible for authoring and maintaining Telecommunications Service Request (Form 20). The incumbent provides first and second level technical support for all aspects of Contact Center technology. Provides cost effective ways to automate call processing technology to improve service to EDD internal and external customers.
The incumbent must possess strong hands-on skills, knowledge, and experience in telephony systems and Contact Center applications.
Position exists in downtown Sacramento, located at EDD's Headquarters office.
This position may be eligible for telework under EDD's telework policy. Employees are required to report to their headquarters office, as needed. Travel expenses to and from the assigned headquarters are the responsibility of the employee.

Desirable Qualifications In addition to evaluating each candidate's relative ability, as demonstrated by quality and breadth of experience, the following factors will provide the basis for competitively evaluating each candidate:
• Experience in Telecommunications, IVR Support, and Contact Center design and administration.
• Experience in software testing and testing Contact Center solutions.
• Experience in telecommunications and Contact Center billing, invoices, and audits.
• Ability to prepare and present materials in a clear and concise manner to all levels of management, including executive management.
• Demonstrated experience establishing cooperative relationships with diverse business partners and other technical teams within the organization.
• Experience in planning, directing, mentoring, and coaching technical teams related to Contact Center projects, maintenance, upgrades, and hardware refreshes.
• Experience with HP Service Manager and HP Application Lifecycle Management products.
• Excellent professional verbal and written communication skills.

Statement of Qualifications Requirements
A Statement of Qualifications (SOQ) is Required. The SOQ serves as documentation of each candidate's ability to present information clearly and concisely in writing. The SOQ is not a resume or cover letter.
The SOQ will be considered the first phase of the hiring process for this position. A SOQ is a narrative of your education, training, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities. If your qualifications are competitive, you will be invited to an interview.
The SOQ should be typed, no more than two pages in length, not less than 12 point font, single-spaced and margins not less than one inch. Include your first and last name at the top of the page and must include a response to the prompt below, with specific examples.

    Background Investigation Requirement
    The position(s) may require an applicant to pass a background investigation. However, applicants will not be asked to provide information about a conviction history unless they receive a conditional offer of employment.
