The Disney Experiences group is seeking a motivated Consumer Insight Manager to join our team that supports Direct-to-Consumer Branded Retail within Disney’s Consumer Products organization.
Our team is part of our broader Consumer Insight, Measurement, and Analytics organization within Disney Experiences. We inform strategy development through actionable data analytics, integration, and insights – driving consumer centric decision-making by deeply understanding both the consumer and the complexities of our business so that actionable insights can be leveraged to achieve desired business goals!
We are responsible for leading the Consumer Insight process from inception to completion. This role will manage relationships with various partners and lead project teams through objective setting, study design and execution, data analysis, and reporting supporting Direct-to-Consumer Branded Retail.
This role will report to the Sr Manager, Consumer Insight, will lead a professional intern and be located in Celebration, Florida.
What You Will Do:
Project management across all aspects of projects, including managing partner and stakeholder relationships
Conduct both quantitative and qualitative market research studies from inception to completion with minimal direction
Personally plan the foundation of the research (e.g., objectives, audience, timeline), create surveys/discussion guides, conduct data analysis using SPSS, write the report/presentation including implications, and present to business partners (including upper management)
Partner with internal support teams to program the survey, recruit for qual, manage survey data, dashboard survey data, and summarize secondary and social data
Lead Professional Consumer Insight Intern, who manages two ongoing quantitative studies
Support and manage internal ad-hoc requests and business questions by analyzing a variety of data sets (across both primary and syndicated sources as needed) and then summarizing + communicating key insights
Apply research across syndicated sources/tools to continuously track consumer trends, consumption habits, preferences and behaviors
Required Qualifications & Skills:
7+ years market research experience
Strong strategic and analytical skills
Experience with quantitative and qualitative research methodologies
Proven experience conducting quantitative analyses with SPSS
Experience leading qualitative research, moderating experience preferred
Experience or desire to lead others
Experience building relationships with internal and external partners/stakeholders
Experience sharing a point of view with business partners verbally and in written form
Effectively translate data and analysis into compelling presentations/written communications
Comfortable talking with consumers online and in-person
Effectively prioritize multiple projects
Comfortable working within a fluid and flexible environment; adjusts well to change/shifting priorities
High proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
Education:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent, post-graduate preferred; coursework in the fields of Market Research, Consumer Behavior, Marketing, Business, Communications, Psychology, or Social Sciences preferred.
