Come join our team! Kizbee's is looking for an experienced manager to supervise our baking + retail staff, manage all bakery operations, and help grow sales. Some of the Bakery Manager's responsibilities include conducting interviews, hiring bakery staff, engaging with guests, managing the staff schedule, completing inventory and purchase orders, ensuring fresh treats are stocked in our retail space, answering customer emails and phone calls, and ensuring that orders are completed on time.
To be successful as a our new Bakery Manager, you should demonstrate excellent management and problem-solving skills. Ultimately, an outstanding manager should be able to achieve exceptional customer and enforce staff compliance with food health and safety regulations.
Responsibilities
- Ensure that the bakery is adequately stocked with quality baking ingredients and supplies while conducting daily and weekly inventories.
- Ensure that baking tools, utensils, and equipment are properly cleaned and sanitized.
- Develop and implement advertising and marketing strategies to attract new customers.
- Create suitable work schedules for staff members.
- Appraise staff performance and carrying out the necessary disciplinary measures to address poor performance.
- Train staff to produce high-quality bakery items while following proper food handling procedures.
- Strategically arrange bakery items in display cases to encourage customer purchases.
- Inspect bakery items to ensure that established standards on quality, uniformity, and aesthetic appeal are met.
- Resolving guest complaints in a professional manner.
- Assist in developing our team to work together to deliver amazing customer service.
- Foster an environment where each team member can grow professionally and personally while having fun at work.
- Manage guest experiences, including answering emails, or collecting details on recent experiences as shared via phone, email or online.
- Assist with all cleaning duties as stated on opening/closing and weekly checklists.
- Report to work as scheduled and fulfill requirements for duration of shift.
- Box, package, or plate bakery goods as needed.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Sound knowledge of different baking techniques.
- Outstanding problem-solving skills.
- Excellent management skills.
- Exceptional customer service skills.
- Knowledge of gluten-free and vegan food product is a plus, but not a requirement.
- A minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a management position
- Ability to work a changing schedule including some weekends and holidays.
- Ability to communicate verbally and understand and follow written and verbal instructions
- Can work well under pressure while maintaining a consistent pace throughout your shift.
- Ability to be on your feet for hours at a time.
- Can lift at least 50 pounds, carry bakery items, bend, stoop, and reach.
