About the Opportunity

At Ellucian, we deliver a broad portfolio of technology solutions that help Higher Education institutions to navigate change, achieve greater transparency, and drive efficiencies. As part of this hiring, we are looking for a Consultant to join our Professional Services organization in India, to collaborate, plan, schedule and manage the delivery of services engagement for existing accounts as well as implementation of enterprise scale large projects for new client acquisitions. You will be an independent contributor working with other team members, reviewing requirements across multiple projects, planning and delivering services successfully for Ellucian’s Higher Education customers across the Americas, APAC and EMEA.

 

Where you will make an impact

  1. The Pre-Sales candidate will be a key player engaging with Ellucian APAC Sales Organization, to drive expansion of accounts as well as new opportunities in the APAC region.
  2. Engage proactively with stakeholders to understand Sales pipeline, plan and manage the opportunity lifecycle for the Professional Services organization.
  3. Drive complex sales cycles orchestrating internal resources of pre-sales, proposals, contracts, consultants, account executives/managers, marketing.
  4. Actively understand customer’s technology footprint, strategic growth plans, technology strategy and competitive landscape. Review publicly available information for the Hi-Ed institution and its competitors to remain updated on key industry trends and issues impacting the prospect.
  5. Facilitate services scoping discussions with customers, develop and deliver a comprehensive services proposal consisting of SoW, Effort Estimates, Pricing options aligned with customer and prospects needs and priorities.
  6. Manage responses to queries related to proposals, iterations to refine the proposals and contracting cycle.
  7. Manage sales to services hand-off, account resource allocation and provide ongoing clarifications to the Project Manager and Consultants.
  8. Develop and institutionalize artifacts and/or templates to improve pre-sales support provided by Professional Services organization.
  9. Conduct business process review and analysis of client business requirements. Gather and document business requirements, engage with clients, advising on the adoption of industry-wide practice, and brief the implementation team on requirements.
  10. Strong interpersonal, presentation and communication skills to support and influence senior client stakeholders.

What you will bring

  1. 3-5 years experience in Enterprise scale products and solutions. Experience in Higher Education products, systems is preferred.
  2. Results-driven Pre-Sales Consultant with experience in Sales support services, developing techno-commercial services proposals.
  3. Experience in pre-sales cycle from opportunity tracking, managing RFP responses, proposal development, through the successful closing the opportunity.
  4. Experience in n-tier architecture and familiarity with Web based ERP applications.
  5. Knowledge of software/technology solutions used by Higher Education institutions.
  6. Passion for learning new technologies and business development practices.
