Job Summary:
We are seeking an exceptional Technology Designer to join our successful and collaborative Houston team. The ideal candidate will be experienced with Revit, BIM and AutoCAD and will help facilitate the flow of construction related information in our office.
General Duties:
- Collaborate with distributed, cross-functional teams to scope and drive project outcomes, fostering a highly collaborative approach.
- Technology Designer utilizing Revit, BIM and AutoCAD.
- Perform field visits and surveys and attend in-person meetings with client construction and technology representatives.
- Consult with clients about their needs and expectations.
- Offer clients multiple solutions that fulfill their needs and meet their expectations.
- Coordinate with electrical team members for power and raceway requirements.
- Prepare and submit deliverables that include comprehensive submittals and drawings.
- Recognize and communicate scope and design changes promptly.
- Perform QAQC reviews of project documents during multiple phases of design.
- Manage multiple concurrent projects to ensure on-time delivery.
Skills:
- Strong Experience with Revit and/or AutoCAD applications
- Proficient in Microsoft Word/Excel/Outlook
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
Qualifications:
- 5+ years’ experience in technology field with deep familiarity of following systems -
- Structured Cabling
- Audio/Video
- Communications
- Access Control
- Intrusion Detection
- Video Surveillance
- Fire Alarm
- Emergency Radio Signal Enhancement
- Current or working towards industry certification from BICSI, AVIXA, or ASIS a plus.
- 3+ years’ experience of technology systems as a project manager, field superintendent, or designer with integrator
- Technology manufacturer certifications a plus.
