New Line Structures & Development, LLC is seeking a Construction Superintendent to join its construction management team. This position will report directly to the General Superintendent. The Construction Superintendent will be responsible for the day-to-day coordination and direction of their assigned project so that it is safe, on schedule, follows project guidelines, meets the company's quality standards, and exceeds the client's expectations. The right candidate for this position must demonstrate strong leadership and interpersonal skills, as well as possess effective time management and organizational skills.
Qualifications:
Minimum 5 years of work experience as a Construction/Project Superintendent in New York City.
Relevant degree in construction or engineering is a plus
Excellent interpersonal skills and organizational skills
Adequate computer skills
Knowledge of Procore
Completed OSHA 30 Construction
Completed New York City Site Safety Manager Certificate
NYC DOB Construction Superintendent Registration is a plus
Responsibilities:
Oversee all phases of construction for duration of project
Supervise subcontractors and onsite labor so that work is completed in a timely and efficient manner
Maintain strong working relationships with all professional groups (Project Management, Architects, Ownership, and Subcontractors)
Work closely with the Project Manager and communicate daily using electronic devices and construction software.
Adopt and adhere to policies, procedures and schedules.
Ensure safety policies, quality procedures, and construction standards are enforced
Understand plans, specifications, and project guidelines
Provide onsite construction management expertise to solve day-to-day challenges
Prepare and maintain daily documentation and relevant paperwork that may include permits, daily reports, sign-in sheets, reports, RFI's, safety orientation and toolbox reports, schedule notes, inspections and quality control reporting and communications.
Take full ownership of the project and its on-site performance to assure of on-time, on-budget and on-schedule completion each and every time.
