JOB SUMMARY:
This Construction Project Specialist is responsible for supporting all special projects and new concepts for all our North American Store Banners. Projects include all capital projects including Refresh, Renovation and store closures. Main liaison to the banner and other departments as well as outside contractors and vendors on these projects.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Provide comprehensive project management support for all major freestanding and off-mall/mall projects assigned
Execute all necessary tasks to ensure the timely and within-budget construction and remodeling of stores, while adhering strictly to design specifications and contract documents
Communicate effectively regarding project status, including schedule and cost expectations, to all stakeholders through weekly project meetings, reporting at SP construction meetings, and ensuring all reports are current. Proactively address identified risks.
Ensure that project tracking is consistently updated in the system of record
Offer feedback to the design team on issues and opportunities derived from construction documents
Conduct Value Engineering exercises and implement cost-saving measures. Provide design solutions to mitigate cost and constructability issues.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
Education Required: Degree in Construction Management, Architecture or a similar field or currently enrolled and pursing a degree - preferred
Required or Acceptable Job-Related Experience: 5+ years’ experience in retail design; Project Management experience required
Years of Job-Related Experience Required: 5+ years
Technical/Other Skills Required: Working knowledge and navigation of AutoCad and a Project Management tool an advantage

The salary range for this opportunity is $60,000 – $70,000. Base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job related knowledge, skills, and experience, among other factors.
