Reporting to the Facilities Service Director: The Project Coordinator will directory report to the Project Manager. This position is responsible for (but not limited to), collaborate with engineers, architects etc. to determine the specifications of the project. Negotiate contracts with external vendors to reach profitable agreements. Obtain permits and licenses from appropriate authorities, determine needed resources (manpower, equipment and materials) from start to finish with attention to budgetary limitations. Plan all construction operations and schedule intermediate phases to ensure deadlines will be met. Acquire equipment and material and monitor stocks to timely handle inadequacies. Will help hire contractors and other staff and allocate responsibilities. Choose subcontractors and delegate their responsibilities. Supervise the work of laborers, mechanics etc. and give them guidance when needed. Evaluate progress and prepare detailed reports. Report project progress and budget to client. Explain contract and technical matter to others in a clear manner. Endure adherence to all health and safety standards and report issues. Comply with safety and building codes as well as legal requirements. Prepare budget and cost estimate, along with work timetables. Must know how to use Construction Project management software.
Requirements
Education:
4 Year/ Bachelor's Degree (Building Construction, Construction management, Civil Engineering, or Architecture) or 5 Years of related experience.
License:
Valid Driver's License
Experience:
3-5 years in project management within construction
