The Project Manager must prepare Construction Project budgets and respond to client-designed RFP’s. The Project Manager is responsible for overseeing all projects that are awarded to them and working with their internal team to successfully run the project. They will oversee all budgeting, contracts, change orders, OAC meetings, schedule, and be the main point of contact for the client. The Project Manager will have complete ownership of a project from the bidding/estimating to completion.
Responsibilities:
- The Project Manager will represent the company when dealing with existing clients
- Responsible for establishing new clients
- Ability to manage multiple projects at on time, in varying stages and of varying complexities
- Bidding Projects and responding to RFP’s
- The job requires the ability to read and understand blueprints in order to bid jobs of varying complexity and size
- Must be able to work effectively both on independent projects and within the construction team of G&K staff, subcontractors, and client representatives.
- Strong documentation and communication skills are required to maintain the level of service expected of a Project Manager
- Responsible for maintaining organized and updated job files
- Oversee day-to day management of projects
- Review all design drawings
- Work closely with project coordinator and site superintendent
- Keep accurate and updated budget tracking
- Responsible for tracking all changes made throughout the project
- Oversee all subcontractor’s workmanship and insure that their scope of work is accurate and complete
- Qualify subcontractor bids
- Put together project schedules
Minimum Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years commercial estimating and/or project management experience
- 4 year college degree preferred, but not required
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office, Excel, Outlook, and Project.
- Prior use of field management software a bonus
- Good verbal and written communication
- Good knowledge of building codes and OSHA requirements
- Life Science Construction Experience a plus
