Construction Project Manager

Building and Land Technology “BLT” is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our Commercial Construction team in Stamford, Connecticut. This position will be working directly with our Managing Director of Construction.

BLT is the largest commercial landlord in Stamford and Norwalk, CT and has invested in, developed, owned, and managed more than 25 million square feet of commercial, hotel and residential properties across 26 states. Our tenant roster includes some of the most sophisticated tenants in the world.  

Duties and Responsibilitiesof the Project Manager:

• Tracks project progress by reviewing milestones with Senior Project Manager.
• Reviews superintendent’s three week look ahead schedule before each weekly subcontractor meeting
• Reviews/updates project master schedule with superintendent monthly.
• Tracks project specifications by studying construction documents and physically inspecting field conditions
• Monitors/confirms product availability
• Reviews and transmits submittals to architect/engineers for approval
• Documents all project management actions in RedTeam
• Controls project plans access by storing them on Procore software
• Controls project costs by monitoring expenditures and administering subcontractor contracts
• Prepares project status reports on Procore by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends; recommending actions
• Maintains safe and clean working environment by enforcing procedures, rules, and regulations

Qualifications of the Project Manager:

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or construction management is required
• 5-7 years’ experience in project planning and scheduling, managing people and an in-depth working knowledge of construction is required
• Field experience highly desirable
• Must present a positive personal image with strong leadership, administrative and communications skills
• Computer literacy in construction software is required
