Your day as a Construction ManagerWisper Internet is on the looking for a dedicated Full Time Construction Manager to lead our construction teams. In this role, you will take the lead in overseeing multiple construction crews across different locations within the Wisper network. Knowledge and skills required for the position are the ability to drive safety awareness & build a culture of safety throughout construction crews; familiarity with various municipality permitting requirements; ability to read & comprehend professional CAD drawings & Visio; white line & facilitate locates for civil crews; deliver & pick up parts as needed; responsible for inventory, maintenance & repair/replacement of company equipment, tools & PPE as needed. The Construction Manager must have an firm understanding of & ability to redline drawings; familiarity with public & private easements & their requirements; ability to manage deployment of internal crews & contractors; work with local inspectors & quickly make field adjustments to comply; create, update & carry out all new hire training with new employees as needed; ensure compliance with all current environmental health & safety regulations & laws which impact the company; understand Safety requirements & proper traffic control procedures; oversee the quality & safe work practices of sites; coordinate with Pre-Construction & Tower Construction teams to meet project deadlines; oversee all locate processes; create project completion package with photos & as-builts; read & interpret site plans, construction drawings & scopes of work; troubleshoot & provide technical support as needed; and other duties as directed.
Job Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 4+ years demonstrated experience in Telecom OSP construction related position
- 7+ years Telecommunications industry experience
- Adaptable to fast-paced high-change environment
- Must be able to travel away from home for up to 1 week at a time
- Current valid Driver's License
- Ability to drive a vehicle without presenting a safety risk to self or others
- Ability to be added to Company auto-insurance policy
- Regular & predictable attendance required
- Legally authorized to work in country of employment without requiring sponsorship for employment visa status now or in the future.

Leadership skills with ability to positively influence others, collaborate with teammates, communicate on the level of others, listen & understand people in circumstances common in the workplace is highly desired. This person must be high energy with a strong 'can do' attitude and a willingness to think outside the box. The ability to communicate effectively via phone, email & message systems, as well as the ability to demonstrate personal accountability is needed. This individual will need to be punctual for appointments & meetings.
