Form of workFives Group has an opening for a Mechanical Drafter/Designer in the Toledo, OH area. This position requires a motivated, decisive individual with the ability to work within schedule and budget constraints with minimal supervision. The ideal candidate can work well in project teams and can communicate applicable concepts and ideas to customers, suppliers and engineering and commissioning personnel.

- Using appropriate design tools and programs to complete design drawings, 2D design, Piping and Instrumentation Drawings (P&ID's) as instructed.
- Ability to red-line drawings and make other conversions.
- Completing the appropriate stress analysis calculation on mechanical components, piping and pipe supports if needed.
- Provide strategic thinking, planning and prioritization of activities in order to achieve the complete tasks assigned on time and in accordance with quality standards.
- Track the development of assigned design tasks through regular communication with Project Managers and your Supervisor.
- Participate in regular project meetings with the project team throughout the project lifecycle.
- Participate in regular project design and engineering review meetings with the customer as required.
- Establish and maintain data libraries pertinent to the piping design function.
- Professional attitude and strong communication skills
- Technical Degree (Associate's or CAD certification) is preferred, but equivalent experience will be considered in lieu of degree.
- 1-3 years of experience with AutoCAD 2D is highly preferred.
- Having some 3D knowledge is helpful but not required.
- Moderate to Extensive PC skills utilizing MS Office.
- Familiarity with ASME and/or ISO standards and technical specifications
