Position: Construction Foreman

Location: Brooklyn, NY

Job Type: Contract Based

Salary: $35/hr

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Construction Foreman to join our team and oversee construction projects in Brooklyn, NY. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of successfully managing construction sites, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with safety regulations.

Responsibilities:

Project Management:

• Plan, schedule, and coordinate construction activities, ensuring adherence to project timelines.

• Supervise and lead construction crews, subcontractors, and other personnel on-site.

• Monitor and manage project budget, expenses, and resources effectively.

• Open / close job site 

Safety Compliance:

• Enforce and promote a strong safety culture on the construction site.

• Conduct regular safety meetings and inspections to ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and company safety policies.

• Implement corrective actions to address safety issues promptly.

Quality Assurance:

• Ensure construction work meets high-quality standards and complies with project specifications.

• Conduct regular inspections to identify and resolve any issues affecting the construction process.

• Maintain a clean and organized jobsite 

Communication:

• Maintain open and effective communication with project stakeholders, including clients, architects, engineers, and subcontractors.

• Provide regular project updates to the project manager and report any challenges or deviations from the plan.

Problem Solving:

• Identify and address construction-related challenges proactively.

• Implement solutions to overcome obstacles and keep the project on track.

Equipment Management:

• Coordinate the proper usage and maintenance of construction equipment and tools.

• Ensure all equipment is in good working condition and meets safety standards.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Construction Foreman or similar role.

• In-depth knowledge of construction procedures, equipment, and safety guidelines.

• Strong leadership and organizational skills.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction drawings.

• Familiarity with coordination of the trades based on project documents..

• OSHA 30-Hour Certification preferred.

• Valid driver's license preferred.

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent.

• Additional certification in construction management is a plus.

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
