We have some aggressive and exciting growth goals, and we are on track to achieve them. We’re looking for an intern to join our Colorado Springs project to support the onsite team, gaining real world experience.
SUMMARY
This is a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience assisting in the management of construction operations on our jobsite in Denver and Colorado Springs. You'll also have real-world exposure to key business areas such as client communications, weekly logs and photo organization, estimation, schedule management and various Project Management functions. As an intern, you'll have the chance to participate in weekly team meetings and OACs, as well as ongoing training in our corporate office in Englewood, CO.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
As an Intern, you will:
§ Be involved in various aspects of construction and will have the opportunity to make significant contributions to your project team.
§ Work closely with Project Management and Superintendent to assist with administration, field engineering, field supervision, and documentation of the construction project
§ Interpret, coordinate, maintain, and gain an understanding of construction drawings, specifications, and other project documents
§ Help maintain Submittal Logs, Specification Logs, RFI logs and responses, meeting minutes, and as-built drawings
§ Assist in updating the project schedule
§ Utilize Project Management software (Procore)
§ Coordinate with subcontractors and vendors
§ Enforce OSHA and Cadre safety standards and policies
§ Follow direction, collaborate with team members, and complete assigned tasks
CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT
§ Must pass a pre-employment criminal background check.
§ Pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Construction or related field.
§ Outstanding academic record (3.0+ GPA).
§ Self-motivated and charismatic.
§ Willingness to learn and train within a growing company.
LICENSES AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS
§ Valid Colorado driver's license required
§ Work is performed while standing, sitting and/or walking
§ Requires the ability to communicate effectively using speech, vision and hearing
§ Requires the use of hands for simple grasping and fine manipulations
§ Requires bending, squatting, crawling, climbing, reaching
§ Requires the ability to lift, carry, push or pull light weights
