Job Description
Mission/ Position Description Summary
The mission of an Inspector for HVJ, a leading specialty engineering firm in Texas, is to is to support the project manager or other staff as directed to assure client satisfaction following the applicable standards, specifications and company guidelines. This includes responsibility for:

• Perform inspection as assigned and/or testing if needed.
• Meticulously document work performed in an organized fashion.
• Provide support to Project Manager as directed.
• Perform duties in a safe, cheerful, efficient and workman like manner.
• Ability to work with team of other inspectors on the project.
• Minimum of 10 - 20 years of experience, TxDOT experience is preferred.

Additional Key Expectations

• Possess related certifications (ACI Field, ACI Strength SB102, Level 1A, Level 1B or NICET, etc.)
• Site Manager data entry experience.
• Ability to work in remote project location by residing closer to project location.
• Valid Driver's License
• Complete defensive driving course and obtain certificate before driving company vehicles and repeat as necessary.

Preferable Additional Certifications:

• ACI Level 1, ACI Strength, TxAPA, SB 101,103,201,202 ,1B, 1A

• Possess good communication skills and ability to work well with others
• Possess High School Diploma
• Ability to lift concrete, soil, or asphalt samples as a routine part of the job
• Ability to tolerate year round outdoor work and nighttime work
• Valid Texas Driver's License with no history of accidents or alcohol/drug related traffic offenses
