Construction Inspector (Construction Administrator)

Summary: The Construction Inspector is part of the Construction Services team, managing a construction project within a medical facility. This role assists the Senior Construction Manager with the inspection, documentation, administration and tracking of construction project from the pre-planning stages through construction and project closeout. Direction on specific tasks are assigned by the Senior Construction Manager

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Possess a working knowledge of construction practices and call upon this knowledge to assist in implementing the various plans set forth on the project including Quality Assurance; Safety, Time, Cost, Change and Information Management.
• Familiar with the site operations of a General and Sub-contractor and the process of managing a building construction operation.
• Working experience in monitoring the construction for Quality Assurance - preparing, analyzing and identifying incongruities and deficiencies in the contractors work in relationship with the construction documents. In addition, they shall understand the baseline schedule and assist in determining the value of the acceptable work in place.
• Support in set up projects in Client and/or Company project management systems, including all required project documentation.
• Help in drafting, distributing and tracking of Contracts, Purchase Orders, and Change Orders to subcontractors/suppliers.
• Maintains project documentation throughout duration of project
• Assists in verifying and managing payment to contractors and vendors during construction
• Responsible for acquiring, coordinating, and submitting owner required close-out documents for project closeout and final contractor/supplier payments
• Assembles and distributes reports for internal and external customers.
• Maintains confidentiality with sensitive or proprietary information on behalf of project team.

Qualifications:

• Degree from an accredited institution of higher learning and/or evidence work experience or knowledge to compensate for absence of higher education.
• A minimum of three (3) years of construction work experience.
• Experience with construction with a focus on medical facilities preferred.
