Tristar Engineering & Management, Inc. We are offering a great opportunity to a qualified Construction Inspector with proven construction engineering experience for government and private contracts.

Reviews incoming materials by auditing adherence to specifications, conduct of visual and measurement tests, and materials rejection. Prepare daily diaries including description of contractor work activities and will be responsible to perform various measurements for payment, checklists, etc.
Gather data, samples, measurements to be used in the inspection and quality assurance of various construction activities Observe and test work in progress to ensure conformity with engineering specifications May require minimum supervision while performing repetitive tasks. Strong organizational, verbal and written communication skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office.
GED or HS Diploma plus 5 years of related engineering experience. Candidates should at least have ACI Certification (Field); and Arizona Technical Testing Institute (ATTI) Field Certification. Other desirable certifications may include ATSSA, ICC, NICET, and/or AWS.
Ideal candidates will have project management or inspection experience with the Arizona Department of Transportation (ADOT). May be subject to the following conditions/physical requirements dependent upon area of assignment: Adverse weather conditions, lifting in excess of 50 pounds, extended walking over rough terrain, climbing over 10 feet, exposure to hazardous materials, continuous loud noises, strenuous physical activity and/or proximity to large construction equipment.
