We are seeking a Construction Inspectorto join our team in the Newark, OH office.

Responsibilities:
- Provide construction inspection services in areas such as roadways, utilities, water, and sewer
- Oversight of contractors on a variety of projects including work within the following market areas civil infrastructure, alternative energy, brownfields, environmental, shale oil and gas, and waste management
- Operation of various types of field equipment (e.g., GPS, data loggers, survey level, combustible gas meters, nuclear density gauge, etc.)
- Completion of field documentation in a timely manner, such as job safety analysis (JSA) forms, project field reports, field notes, soil, concrete, and asphalt datasheets, monitoring, and chain-of-custody forms
- Review, understand, and interpret project plans and specifications, shop drawings, product data, RFIs, and change orders
- Perform scheduled tests, observations, and inspections in accordance with applicable test procedures and project requirements
- Collect data through research and file review
- Perform computations and process data using computer software or other established methods
- Assist with field testing to gather data for engineering, hydrogeologic, and scientific evaluations
- Prepare reports, drawings, tables, spreadsheets, graphs, soil boring logs, and other illustrations to document and summarize project data
- Observe and document field activities and prepare construction documentation reports
- Operate and maintain company vehicles
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent, Associates Degree preferred
- 5-10 years of experience with construction observation
- CAD experience preferred
- Capable of working Primarily in an outdoor work environment and occasional office environment
- Must be able to carry up to 50 lbs. regularly and up to 80 lbs. occasionally with or without accommodation, sometimes over substantial distances
- Must have a personal vehicle to travel to work sites
- Must possess a valid driver's license
- Must be able to travel for extended periods of time, on occasions
